In Itoshima, the emergency loudspeakers play tonal songs at 7 am, 12 pm, and 5 pm. The bell's performance varied due to atmospheric conditions. In the rain, the sound fell heavy and reflected off the drops. At times, you could hear the bells from neighboring loudspeakers produce an in-the-round, choral version that echoed over the hills. To expand the broadcast range of these metronomic sound signals, I made them into MP3s.
